How HammerNest handles privacy information.
This policy explains the information collected through the HammerNest website and repair request workflow, how it is used, and what choices customers have.
What HammerNest collects
When you submit a repair request, HammerNest may collect your name, email address, phone number, preferred contact method, property address or city, service category, urgency, best time to follow up, repair notes, uploaded photos, source page, landing page, referrer, and UTM campaign details. If local tracking is enabled, the site may also record page URL, referrer, event name, clicked labels, form activity, and a browser-generated session ID stored in local storage. If Google Analytics or similar analytics is configured, that provider may receive standard website analytics data.
How the information is used
Information is used to review the repair request, understand the property location, evaluate whether the work fits handyman scope, ask follow-up questions, prepare scheduling or estimate conversations, reduce spam, improve the website, and maintain business records. Photos are used to understand visible conditions and are not a guarantee that hidden issues can be identified before work begins.
Service providers and vendors
Information may be handled by vendors that support the website and repair-request workflow, including website hosting, WordPress plugins, form processing, file upload storage, the internal lead database, email delivery, phone or SMS providers when follow-up messages are sent, analytics providers when enabled, spam or security tools, and professional advisors when needed for business, legal, accounting, or insurance purposes.
No sale of personal information
HammerNest does not sell repair-request information. HammerNest does not use submitted repair photos, property details, or contact information for third-party advertising. Website analytics, if enabled, are used to understand site performance and visitor behavior, not to sell customer information.
SMS consent and opt-out
If you provide a phone number and consent to SMS follow-up, HammerNest may text you about the repair request, scheduling, estimate questions, or related service communication. Consent is not required to request service. You can revoke SMS consent by replying STOP or by making any reasonable opt-out request through the contact methods on the site. After an opt-out request, HammerNest may send a brief confirmation message and then stop nonessential SMS follow-up.
Retention and deletion
Repair requests, notes, uploaded photos, tracking events, and related records may be kept as long as needed to review the request, provide service, maintain business records, resolve questions, prevent abuse, and meet legal, tax, accounting, or insurance needs. Information that is no longer needed should be deleted or anonymized when practical. Backups may retain limited copies for a short time before normal rotation removes them.
Security limits
HammerNest uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards for the website, uploaded files, and lead records. No website, email system, form, text message, or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Avoid sending highly sensitive personal, financial, medical, or account information through the repair request form.
Access, correction, and deletion requests
You can ask to access, correct, or delete repair-request information by using the contact page or the phone and email listed on the site. HammerNest may need to verify the request and may keep certain records when required for legitimate business, legal, insurance, security, or recordkeeping reasons.
Children, updates, and contact
The site is not intended for children under 13, and HammerNest does not knowingly collect personal information from children. This policy may be updated when the website, form, tracking, vendor, or communication process changes. The effective date above shows the latest version. Privacy questions can be sent through the contact page.
